IEC Volunteers Come Together

IEC Volunteers Come TogetherChairpersons and members of the different committees of the International Eucharistic Congress (IEC) 2016 gathered as one at the Blessed John XVIII Seminary to give thanks and celebrate the presence of the Eucharist in the volunteers and in their activities.

Volunteers from the secretariat, service, events, formation and finance cluster converged through a thanksgiving mass presided by Msgr. Joseph Tan, media relations officer for the IEC 2016.

Msgr. Tan shared his homily taken from the Gospel of John, “An ordinary love, an ordinary work can transform into greatness before God… we are invited to form a household, so that we will be united in serving the Church.”

The volunteers also had an intimate lunch hour with Archbishop of Cebu Jose Palma, who encouraged the group and expressed his support in the committee’s plans.Chairpersons and members of the different committees of the International Eucharistic Congress (IEC) 2016 gathered as one at the Blessed John XVIII Seminary to give thanks and celebrate the presence of the Eucharist in the volunteers and in their activities.
