Logo Making Contest Guidelines


Theme: “Christ in you, our hope of Glory” (cf. Col. 1:27)

GUIDELINES:

  • The competition is open to individuals. Group entries, such as from companies and organizations will not be considered.
  • Although the elements and colors of the logo must embody the spirit of the event and reflect the participation of the international community, it must also express the Asian, Philippine and Cebu contexts.
  • The logo design must be adaptable for use on both print and electronic media.
  • The logo design must not be similar to other existing logos.
  • Each design submitted must have a version in a) color, and b) black and white line art or grayscale.
  • The designer must consider that the logo design has to register clearly even in its smallest application (ex. the congress letterhead).
  • Each design submitted must include a brief rationale and a description of the elements used and what they stand for.
  • Each designer may submit a maximum of three designs.
  • Designs must be submitted in JPEG (at least 100dpi) or PDF format.
  • Entries should be submitted through email ([email protected]) with the designer’s name, age, address and contact information.
  • All entries must be received not later than December 15, 2013.
  • The names of the designers of the three (3) winning entries will be announced in January 2014 through print and email.
  • The winning entries will receive the following prizes: 1st – Php 50,000.00; 2nd – Php 40,000.00 and 3rd – Php 30,000.00.
  • Winners will be asked to provide the original file used to create the image in color, black and white or grayscale.
  • Following the logo selection, the organizers reserve the right to further develop the winning logo design/s.
  • Winning entries will be considered property of the Congress organizers.
  • All submitted entries shall become the exclusive property of the 2016 IEC Committee, which may exercise all rights of ownership over them.

By submitting his/her entry, the logo designer immediately and voluntarily waives and relinquishes all rights to his/her entry including artistic, moral and economic rights.
