His Excellency, Archbishop Jose S. Palma, head of delegation and the President of the 51st IEC said, “We might be facing a happy problem because many delegates are coming especially from Asia and other parts of Europe.”
According to Archbishop Palma, “the Holy Father also greeted the delegates from the plenary assembly for the International Eucharistic Congress; and we gave them the value of our theme, particularly the value of hope which is in sync with the current situation in the Philippines.”
“We may not be rich economically, but we are rich in hope, and we are rich in the values of faith, he added.”
The report included preparations for the program and speakers, registration, transportation and accommodation as well as the message of Pope Benedict XVI and the official prayer and hymn.
